Summary
South Park: The Fractured But Whole is a single player RPG with a focus on turn based combat, time manipulation and dark satire humor. The game was developed by Ubisoft San Francisco and co-developed by Massive Entertainment and multiple other studios.
I worked on the project for about 8 months, whilst the project was in the production phase. At Massive we had a small team of artists, level designers and animators to support the project. During that time I did a mission in San Francisco to work at the studio there for 1 month.
Whilst on the mission I got a stronger involvement of production processes of the SF studio. I got a lot of support from various disciplines to solve more intricate tasks and edge cases, which could be solved more efficiently on-site. Doing the mission also give me perspective that each game you are working on is different and made me grow further as a designer.
